Heaven

How Can I Go To Heaven?

A lot of people think they are going to Heaven when they die, but the Bible says in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” The Bible also says that if you are a Christian, you will bear fruit. If you proclaim to be a Christian, ask yourself these questions…Have I ever made a life-changing decision to follow Christ no matter what the cost? Am I willing to die daily to God’s will?

If you answered no to these questions, then there is a possibility that you are not saved. If you realize that you are a sinner and you are nothing without God, read the verses below to become a born again Christian.

Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” What does that verse say to you? Now read the next verse…Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” What does that verse say to you? Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” What two things do these verses tell you that you need to do in order to be saved? If you believe that the Bible is the true living Word of God, and that Jesus Christ died on an old rugged cross for mine and your sins, and rose again on the third day, then you are ready to invite Jesus to come live in your heart. If you are ready to make that life-changing decision right here on the internet, then read these words out loud and really mean it in your heart and you will be saved and inherit the kingdom of God….”Lord, I admit that I am a sinner, and even though I didn’t deserve it, You sent Your one and only Son to die on a cross to pay for my sins. I confess to You all of my sins, and I want You to come live in my heart, and be my personal Savior. I am willing to turn away from my sinful lifestyle and follow You. I love you, Lord, and I thank You and praise You for saving me. Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer just now, there are a few follow up things that you need to do. You should read your Bible every day, this is how God talks to you. Then you need to pray every day, that is you talking to God. These are important in order to have a relationship with God. Start in Matthew with chapter one, verse eighteen. That is the beginning of Christ’s life and it will help you to better understand about Him. You will grow closer to God, and He to you during this time. God wants nothing more than to spend time with you, He loves you unconditionally. Next, you need to be baptized. This is a symbolic act that shows other people that you are saved, yet it does not save you. Look at Luke 3:21-22, “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” This shows us that we are to be baptized as a born again believer. Third, you need to become a member of a local church. This helps you learn more as a Christian and to help you interact with other Christians.
