Mr. Matthew Horne was born and raised in Lumberton North Carolina. Matthew accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in June 2001.
At the age of 11, he began to play the piano. He then became the pianist at his home church, Singletary Baptist and served there until April 2014. During the fall of 2014, the Lord called Matthew to East Lumberton Baptist church where he joined our fellowship of believers. He accepted the position of Church Pianist in April 2017 where he is still serving today. In 2019 Matthew accepted the role of Music Team Director. Working alongside his worship leaders, Mr. Larry Cooke & Mr. Shon Anderson, they lead the church in music and worship. Matthew handles the administration of the music department along with planning services with the worship leaders.
Matthew is bi-vocational where he also serves as a Technical Services Field Tech for Boddie-Noell Enterprises. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2012. Along with the ELBC music department, Matthew also handles the church website, mobile app, and LIVE streaming for our services.
Matthew and his wife Molly currently live in Hope Mills NC. They have two fur babies; Sadie-Mae, & Katie Gray.
